Owens Corning engages in the provision of residential and commercial building products in the United States, Europe, the Asia Pacific, and internationally. It operates through four segments: Roofing, Insulation, Doors, and Composites. The Roofing segment manufactures and sells residential roofing shingles, oxidized asphalt materials, and roofing components primarily used in residential and commercial construction. The Insulation segment manufactures and sells thermal and acoustical batts, loose fill insulation, spray foam insulation, foam sheathing, and accessories. It also manufactures and sells glass fiber pipe insulation, energy efficient flexible duct media, bonded and granulated stone wool insulation, cellular glass insulation, and foam insulation used in above- and below-grade construction applications. The Doors segment manufactures and sells interior and exterior doors and door systems primarily used in residential construction. The Composites segment manufactures, fabricates, and sells glass reinforcements in the form of fiber. The company was founded in 1938 and is headquartered in Toledo, Ohio.
