Airbnb, Inc (ABNB.US) is an American online rental marketplace service based in San Francisco, California. Airbnb has had major success since its launch in 2008, and quickly become one of the travel industry's dominant players.

Airbnb offers arrangements for lodging, primarily homestays, or tourism experiences. The company does not own real estate listings, it acts as a broker and receives commissions from each booking. Airbnb is available in more than 81,000 cities and 191 countries worldwide and is targeting a $42 billion USD valuation, making the Airbnb IPO date a highly anticipated event.
