A tőzsdeindexek fogalma - Mi a tőzsdeindex jelentése
A különféle tőzsdeindexek a különböző tőzsdéken forgo részvények árváltozását jelzik számodra. Vegyük például a magyar tőzsdeindexet, azaz a BUX tőzsdeindexet, mely a fontosabb hazai részvényeket tartalmazza, a teljesség igénye nélkül ilyen a MOL, OTP, MTelekom, Richter, 4iG, ANY, Appeninn, Autowallis, BIF, CIG, Konzum, OPUS, stb.
A BUX a Budapesti Értéktőzsdén forgó legnagyobb kapitalizációjú részvényeket tartalmazza tehát, azok árfolyamának változását méri valós időben.
A kalkuláció a XETRA árai alapján történik.
Talán a legismertebb amerikai index a Dow Jones Industrial Average, 26400 pont felett jár, ami közelíti a történelmi csúcsot, 30 részvényből áll.

European stock market indices - The Swiss stock market index
Another European stock market index is the Swiss index. The Swiss Market Index (SMI) is less widely heard, but that doesn't mean it's any less significant.
The SMI20 stock index consists of 20 shares of 20 companies listed on the SIX Swiss Stock Exchange.

European stock market indices - Spain stock market index
A lesser-known global market index on the European continent is the Spanish stock index.
The main Spanish stock market index is called the Ibex35, it consists of 35 companies, weighted by their market capitalization. The Ibex 35 stock market index is also called the Madrid stock market index, referring to the financial center of Madrid.
Now let's look at other European stock market indices, mentioning just a few of their components.
Other European indices
Of course, there are other European stock market indices, here is an abbreviated list of them:
- Greek stock market index: the Athex20 index
- Portuguese Stock Exchange Index: PSI 20: The Portuguese Stock Exchange Index includes the 20 largest and most liquid stocks
- Belgian Stock Exchange Index: The BEL20: The Bel20 stock exchange index consists of 20 stocks from the Belgian stock exchange.

US stock market indices
The NYSE, the New York Stock Exchange, is currently the largest stock exchange in the world. Nearly 3,000 securities can be traded on the New York Stock Exchange.
Recently, the stock market capitalization of Google, Apple, and Amazon has approached the trillion-dollar level, and their total market capitalization has long exceeded $2.5 trillion.
US stock market indices - DJIA index
The DJIA index contains thirty companies, these are:
3M, American Express, Apple, Caterpillar, Chevron, Cisco, Coca-Cola, DuPont, Exxon Mobil, General Electric, Goldman Sachs, JPMorgan Chase, Johnson&Johnson, McDonald's, Merck, Microsoft, Nike, Pfizer, Procter&Gamble, Travelers, United Health Group, United Technologies Corporation, Verizon, Visa, Walmart, Walt Disney.
The DJIA index is becoming increasingly popular among traders, we can see serious movements even in the European morning hours, practically from 8 am to 10 pm there are at least 3-4 periods when it is worth monitoring the index.
We recommend trading only to experienced traders at the opening and before the opening, as well as during macro data and news, and in all cases it may be worth using a stop loss.
It is important to trade with lots and contract sizes that are appropriate for our account and wallet, because trading with leverage is risky.
In 2018, the DJIA hit a historic high, the trend is currently upward, but such a large increase could be followed by a correction, just like at the end of 2018.
Index traders who have traded mainly in the direction of the uptrend during trading days over the past 10 years have most likely made significant profits if they followed the main principles and rules of money and risk management and were not too greedy.
Do you want to be a similarly successful trader? We can't guarantee it for you, but you should definitely take part in our training courses .

It's true that we often talk about the stock market performance of the Paris Stock Exchange, the London Stock Exchange, or the American Stock Exchange, but what about the Asian stock market?
Now let's look at these in more detail!
Asian stock indices and Australian indices are more difficult to trade, as this region has a trading period when we Europeans are asleep.
Among the better-known indices, the Shanghai and Nikkei may also be interesting, mainly because they often track the American indices, and you can often play to fill gaps, of course, always use a stop loss.
The state of the Japanese economy has been influenced by several negative factors over the past 10-20 years, and the BOJ has continuously monitored and even influenced the exchange rate of the Japanese yen to a very significant extent.
Japan Stock Exchange Index
Among the Asian indices you can find the Japanese Nikkei 225 stock index!
The Nikkei stock index, also known as the Tokyo Stock Exchange Index, consists of 225 companies and is the most important stock index of the Japanese stock market .

These stock market indices are sometimes called the Beijing Stock Exchange Index, referring to the country's capital, although the country's stock exchange is located in Shanghai.
Another Chinese stock index, the FTSE China 50, is also included. The China Stock Index is also called the Shanghai Stock Index or the Shenzhen Stock Index, as it is composed of shares of companies listed on the Shanghai and Shenzhen stock exchanges.

African stock market indices
Now that we've seen the international stock markets of Europe, America, and Asia together, let's travel across to the African continent!

Stock market index prices
It is important to note that the US stock market, and thus the world's stock markets, have been rising for more than ten years. There may be a correction or even a collapse in the future, but it is also possible that we will continue to soar. We have already seen several major corrections and collapses:
- 2001 kipukkant a Nasdaq lufiNasdaq lufi
- September 11 terrorist attacks
- 2007-2009 credit crisis
- End of 2018
The 1929-33 crisis was the biggest, but the credit crisis ten years ago also caused a huge drop, so it is important to emphasize all this and also to point out to you that if you trade indices, always have a stop loss.
You will be able to see the movement of the US indices on several time frames, but do not make any investment decisions based on the following images regarding the expected future direction, as the situation can change almost from one moment to the next.
The first three images show the monthly charts of the 3 leading US indices. We see an upward trend on the monthly charts of the S&P 500, US100 and DOW JONES for now.US100 és a DOW JONES havi chart-jain emelkedő trendet látunk egyelőre.

Stock index trading
Among the indices, most traders prefer the American indices. This is probably no coincidence, the charts are beautiful, they have liquidity and they have high turnover.
The Dow Jones index also offers many good entry points for short-term scalping and day trading, and the chart is often full of well-recognizable patterns.
Whether we use trend-following or other strategies, the index is suitable for novice traders and is also popular among advanced and professional traders, just like the S&P 500 and US100.
At Admiral Markets, it is worth trading indices and stocks, and their CFDs , as well as currency pairs, due to the tight spread and fast and accurate execution.

The essence of stock trading is fundamental and technical analysis, as well as psychology, which is essentially understanding market behavior patterns and our own reactions.
Day traders, longer-term index traders, scalpers approach a chart completely differently, as well as different personality types.
Whichever style you prefer, the most important thing is to stay humble and modest, don't be greedy, always have a stop loss, and only trade with a contract size that matches your account size.
Right now, the bulls are still in control, but if a correction or even a collapse comes, it will be a good entry point for shorts. But when will that come?
It is worth taking a look at the indices on hourly, 4-hour, daily and weekly charts, and it is important to read and evaluate the news, as well as draw trend lines.
Once you have decided to trade indices, learn about the companies in them and look at their charts on multiple time frames. Many index traders also use indicators, and the use of experts, scripts, and other programs is becoming increasingly popular.
Over the past decade, it has been possible to achieve very significant returns using stock CFDs. If a major uptrend is followed by a correction, we can of course profit by shorting both indices and stock CFDs.
