Changes in equities terms due to ongoing market volatility

February 02, 2021 17:00

Dear Traders,

With the extraordinary market activity last week, and the temporary close-only restrictions we have added on certain securities, we would like to inform you that starting today, February 2, 2021, the opening of new positions on Invest.MT5 account (long only) in the securities listed in the table below is currently allowed, but limited.

  • GME, Gamestop Corp (Class A), US (NYSE)
  • AMC, AMC Entertainment Holdings Inc, US (NYSE)
  • EXPR, Express Inc, US (NYSE)
  • NOK, Nokia Oyj ADR, US (NYSE)

Maximum Exposure limit

A maximum exposure limit of 5000 EUR, or equivalent in another currency, is applied to each above-mentioned securities on Invest.MT5 account.

The exposure limit is the maximum absolute value of the position you are allowed to take in your account. So, if the current Stock price is $225 (approx €185), you would be able to open up to 5000 EUR, so 187 EUR = 27 lots

If your existing positions are already over the new maximum exposure limit, they will remain unaffected. However, you will not be able to open any new positions in each of these securities unless you sell enough of your holdings such that you are below the respective limit.

Maximum Contract Size

The maximum Contract size per trade is set to 1 share to meet our requirements and continue to provide the service to you avoiding rejections or manipulation in the markets.

We are closely monitoring the situation within these equities, and will further adjust our trading terms as may be required to adequately reflect any changes in the relevant markets, and ensure they accurately reflect current levels of market volatility and liquidity.

Kind regards,

Admiral Markets
